Platen Cartridge (Linered & Linerless)
Installation Instructions
This kit includes the parts necessary to install the P1072539-008 Platen Cartridge
(Linered) and the P1072539-009 Platen Cartridge (Linerless) in the ZQ520 printer.
Read these instructions thoroughly before attempting to install this kit.
Tools Required: T-8 & T-6 TORX Driver (4.7 +/- 1 in. lb. & 2.5 +/- 1 in. lb.)
Removing the Platen Cartridge
Assembly
1. Press the Media Cover button to
open the Media Cover. Use a T-8
TORX driver to remove the four (4)
screws located on the bottom of the
media cover frame (circled).
2. Lift the Platen Cartridge Assembly
(linered shown) up and out of the
media cover frame to remove (as
shown).
3. Remove the three (3) screws to
remove the Reverse Tear Bar from
the Platen Cartridge. (Not present
on linerless printers. Scraper
present instead.)
4. Use a T-8 TORX driver to remove
the shoulder screw on the non-
gear end of the Platen roller and
remove the bearing and washer.
