Media Cover Assembly
Installation Instructions
This kit includes the parts necessary to install Media Cover kits P1072539-003,
-004, -005, and -006 in the ZQ520 linered and linerless printers. Read these
instructions thoroughly before attempting to install this kit.
Tools Required
T-8 TORX Driver (4.7 +/- 1 in. lb.)
Removing the Media Cover Assembly
1. Remove the Printer Chassis from
the Main Housing as previously
described on Page 2-16.
2. Disconnect the Black Bar flex
cable (circled) at J4 on the Top
PCBA. Feed it past the Motor
and out of the PCBA Mounting
Bracket.
3. Peel the Black Bar cable away
from the underside of the Media
Plate (see arrow).
4. Use a small hex driver to push the
Hinge Pin out of the hinges of the
Media Cover.
5. Remove the Torsion Spring from
the mounting holes (circled) on
the Media Guide Plate.
6. Detach the Media Cover (along
with Black Bar cable) from the
Media Plate.
