4.11 SET-UP EXTERNAL WIFI SMART UPLOAD
To initial setup of ZEUS with POE to the external AP using the special cable:
1. Use XOVER cable to connect your PC or laptop to the ZEUS using IP: 192.168.X.XXX
2. Use IE to log on to ZEUS by pointing the browser to: 192.168.X.XXX (can change desired
IP) then login and set up the ZEUS:
a) DVR name and any required of the Bus settings.
b) Check the boxes for Enable External Wi-Fi and Enable Smart Upload. Apply the
change, then wait for the changes to be initiated.
c) Hard restart DVR by unplugging the power cable, wait 5 seconds, then reconnect
cable.
3. Use POE cable (item 2.3.7) with the Client AP connect to the ZEUS A3
4. Check the WIFI communication between TD and the ZEUS A3:
a) Ping from TD to the Client AP's IP (192.168.3.X)
b) Ping from TD to the ZEUS via WIFI (192.168.1.X)
If step 4b is successful then external Wi-Fi is correctly configured.
