Chapter 11: Troubleshooting
Error Messages
In this section, you will nd information relating to error messages that appear on the display when the FreeStyle Precision Pro
meter detects errors.
For each corresponding message, an explanation is given and appropriate responses are described. In many situations, it may be
possible to proceed with some of the functions, at least temporarily, before attending to the problem. (For example, when the
batteries are too low to permit testing, it may be possible to review data for a short time.)
If any problem persists, record the error message displayed, which may include a 4-digit error code, and contact your local
Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. oce or distributor.
When You Turn on the Meter, or During Use:
Symptom/Error Message Explanation How To Respond
The display is blank.
The meter has little or no power. Verify proper battery installation.
If the problem persists, install new batteries.
