PLEASE NOTE! Connecting the LINE+ terminals of different panels can cause
their malfunctioning!
Refer to the drawing on page 26 (“call direction") for connecting multiple panels:
on the right-hand a panel will always feature a LINE+ terminal and on the left-
hand side - an ML terminal.
To build extensive and large installations, it is possible to connect several Master
panels and combine the door entry system in a "star" arrangement - all wires
come together in one point (which greatly reduces the length of wires and
simplifies wiring). This can be done using the optional CDN-MM Multimaster
module (refer to CDN-MM module manual for more information) or the 4-zone
SW4S-DIN switch module - (refer to chapter “Supporting up to 1020 apartments").
For Video systems, the entire wiring must be made using UTPs in T568B
standard, min. cat 5e standard (all wires to be used); these systems also require
optional combiner modules : and .
- CDNVS combiner for Master panels,
- CDNVSp intermediate combiner for Slave panels or CDNVSbk combiner
without camera (for slave panels without camera).
Master panels without cameras the combiner module is not necessary and the
CDNVS combiner module can be used with the first slave panel that features a
camera (the line from the Master panel is connected ML terminal of the Slave
panel).
Combiners supply power to the door entry unit via a ribbon cable connected to
the EXTMOD2 port. Combiners can be installed at a further distance from the
door entry unit - in which case the door entry unit must be supplied using a
dedicated wire: +DC and GND panel terminals connected to +15V and GND
combiner terminals . In CDNVS combiner the ribbon cable needs not be plugged
in. In CDNVSp intermediate combiner the ribbon cable must be plugged in
(control of the camera image in slave door entry unit) - use the ARK-RS module,
offered by ACO, as ribbon cable extension.
Power supply
The system must run on one type only of power supply (either AC or DC - never
both! ). When units are powered by transformers, each unit must be powered by
a dedicated transformer.
The entire system needs to be powered from the same phase.
