In systems with multiple door entry units it is important to make that the supported
numbers of apartments are correctly set in all panels. Individual panel allow any
setting of the numbers of receivers supported by these panels (numbers of
apartments that can be called using a specific door entry unit). This configuration
is set with the computer program ("List of call numbers"). In order to limit the
range of supported receivers, unsupported numbers should be disabled (such
disabled number may not be called then) - by deleting such numbers and leaving
the cell empty.
Slave panels support the further door opening function. Refer to point 7 “Further
door opening function in Slave panels”, Chapter III “Operation”, for description of
this function. For this function to work as intended all supported apartment
numbers must be correctly configured in all door entry units, “further door delay
parameters must be set and “further door opening signalmust be enabled.
Each panel in the system must be configured independently. Settings can be
transferred between units using the computer program. Slave panels have no
pre-set code table - if all panels are to support the same user access codes, the
same code table must be entered in all of them. The code table is available by
default only for Master panels. With the possibility of setting different ringtones in
each panel (4 to choose from and different number of ringtones) it is easy to
identify the calling panel.
Selecting apartment number when numbers are repeating.
When different apartments have the same numbers, it is up to the tenants to
arrange assignment of apartmentsnumbers in the panel. For example, with three
staircases of 10 apartments each, the numbers assigned in the Master panel can
be 101 to 110 for staircase 1, 201 to 210 for staircase 2, 301 to 310 for staircase
3, etc. Slave panels on staircases, on the other hand, can be assigned directly to
specific apartment numbers, like 1 to 10, etc.
Numbers and calling method need to be described in detail in the description
module. Physical addresses of receivers must be unique and in each door entry
unit they must be assigned to numbers to be called. With 700 series units,
numbers in the range 0 to 999999 can be freely assigned (with "0" also being
recognisable) to address of the receiver (1 - 255).
CONNECTION OF SLAVE PANELS
Connection of slave panels is similar to that of Master panels - follow the general
rules in chapter VI CONNECTION. The only difference is that Slave panels
feature an additional "ML" terminal, to connect another panel (Master or Slave).
An important principle to follow for a multiple panel system is cascade connection
(one after another), i.e.: the output from LINE+ terminal can only be connected
to receiver terminals and ML terminals of other panels. One LINE+ terminal can
be connected to several ML terminals at a time.
