P17 SERVICE CALL FROM APARTMENT
Service call from the receiver in an apartment during system maintenance. This
function is dedicated to service technicians and used to verify if the receiver
works properly - if ringing, audio track and door opening is as expected. The
function uses call numbers to apartments, selected on the keypad.
This function is only available for "Master" panels (or "Slave" panels where the
"ML" terminal is not connected). In operating mode with 4 zone switch ("SW4S-
DIN") the function is not available.
It is activated for specific receiver. If the open button is pressed three times when
the handset is not hung up the unit generate a triple beep that can be heard in
the handset; then the handset is hung up and after a short while the unit will
automatically call that receiver (the display will show its call number which needs
to be selected on the keypad). Operating of the received can be verified upon
answering the call.
Upon activating the function, the unit will display "Local?", which is to be replaced
by the call number, to be selected with the keypad (the physical address of the
receiver is calculated by the unit). The entered digit is confirmed with the "key"
button (the 6-digit apartment is confirmed automatically upon entering the last
digit); to exit the function, press the "#" button. The unit will then display “Ready”
and will exit the installer’s menu.
When the function is activated, the unit displays "_ _ _ _" and the unit can be use.
The function is active for some 30 minutes or can be deactivated earlier by
activating the E-lock in the service mode (function P0).
The function only works for receivers with handsets and may not be available
when using other manufacturers’ receivers.
P18 SEARCHING MISPLACED OR DEFECTIVE UNIPHONES
Search function used to find misplaced or defective receivers.
It helps detect which receiver may be overloading the line (cause it is damaged
or its handset is not hung up), which in turn may cause the whole system to
malfunction (impaired address selection, calling two different receivers, etc.). The
function uses physical addresses of the receivers and cannot be used if P16 or
P17 (installer’s or service call from apartment) is active.

Upon entering this function, the display will show “Frm" and while "????” is being
displayed, enter the value of the start of the search range (0 to 255) - confirm
