XII. PROGRAMMING
All available parameters in the 700 series units can be modified, settings can be
programmed, it is also possible to create backup copies and transfer settings to
other units.
ACO units can be connected to a PC with an optional CDN-USB cable and
computer software (which can be downloaded free of charge from
www.support.aco.com.pl).
The software for the 700 series units is "x700". Proximity cards or key fobs can
be managed using the ACC_v70 software (version v7.0 or later).

Parameters can be also modified directly at the unit, using the installer’s menu.
All settings are stored in unit’s memory and are maintained when the power is
turned off. In multiple unit systems, modifications are effective only in the unit in
which they were introduced. Transfer settings to other units using the computer
program.
Before connecting the CDN-USB cable to PC for the first time, first install drivers
downloaded from www.support.aco.com.pl
It is only possible to run computer software if the drivers for the CDN-USB cable
are installed and the cable is connected with the PC at least once (necessary for
Windows to register the drivers of the connected unit in the system).
To communicated with the software, the unit must be in the standby mode (default
intro on the display: "ACO"). The CDN-USB cable (as well as other modules)
should be connected with the power supply of the unit is off.
Installer’s passwords:
Access to the computer programs and the installer menu is secured by the
“Installer’s Password".
By default, the installer's password "0000" and it must be changed after
installation!
PLEASE NOTE! In the latest release of the door entry units, "0000" is
replaced by the last four digits of the product serial number, which can be
found on the electronics board label.
The password can be changed either from the computer program or from the
installer’s menu (menu 7).
Installer’s menu:
To enter the installer's menu, press and hold the "key" button and type "1507xxxx”
within 5 seconds, where "xxxx" is the four-digit “Installer’s password", (by default
"0000" or the last four digits of the unit serial number). Access to the installer's
menu is confirmed with a beep, the software version and then program No. 0:
"Open" on the display. Use "2" to navigate the menu up and "8" - to navigate it
down. Press the “key” button to enter the menu item being displayed or to confirm
the entered value.
When the maximum possible value is entered, the unit will confirm it automatically
(no need to press the "key” button) - "Done" will appear on the display; the unit
will revert to the main menu. Installer's menu enables resetting (restarting) the
unit by pressing buttons 7 and 9 simultaneously. Before any modifications can be
made, the unit will display the current setting value, only then a new setting can
