IX. DOORMAN
Doorman's functions include “doorman's call" and “doorman's call forward"
In doorman's call, upon contact short circuit of the additional INPUT in the
Master panel, each call to any number will be forwarded to doorman’s receiver.
Doorman's uniphone address is set as the value of the additional INPUT. Auxiliary
input contacts can be activated by a clock etc.
Doorman's call forward means that a call is answered by the doorman, the
doorman can forward the call to the desired resident, using the doorman’s panel.
Upon answering the call, the doorman will press the "KEY" button and hang up
the handset, thus forwarding the calls. Making this connection is possible only if
doorman’s call forward is enabled in the doorman's panel.
Doorman functions can be used in residential estates with access control, office
buildings, etc. They can only be configured using a computer program.
Doorman's panel features a built-in, typical slave panel suitable to make calls.
When designing a system with a doorman's panel, follow all the rules for systems
with multiple Master panels/Slave panels. If doorman's panel is to be used to call
all receivers, it must be installed as yet another door entry unit at the main
entrance. Doorman's receiver must have a separate physical address in the
system, disabled from the slave unit support in the doorman's panel.
The doorman’s unit which operates as described is INS-PORTIERNIA S+, with a
slave panel and INS-MPR video inside unit.
This doorman's panel will only work with master/slave system topology.
Another available doorman’s unit is INS-PORTIERNIA+, with a master panel and
INS-MPR video inside unit.
This doorman's panel will work with master/slave system topology as a master
unit and with SW4S-DIN modules, which are used in system topology which
supports for up to 1020 apartments (description on page 32: SUPPORTING UP
TO 1020 APARTMENTS). INS-PORTIERNIA+ when working with SW4S-DIN
module will not support doorman's call (possible only in master/slave topology)
and doorman's call forward (not possible in master/slave topology). Doormans
units working with SW4S-DIN modules need a dedicated and exclusive zone (a
