system may feature several doorman’s panels). NS-PORTIERNIA+ video door
entry unit should be connected directly to the output of SW4S-DIN modules, to
doorman’s zone.
X. OPERATION
In standby mode the voltage on LINE terminals (uniphone line) is approximately
8.7 V, to increase to some 12 V during a call. As the handset is picked up (the
receiver activated), the line is loaded and the voltage drops to approximately 5 V,
which the unit recognises as permission to connect the call. Voltage drop below
5V other than during a connection or a call is recognised as a short-circuit - the
display shows "LineEr". The line is then de-energised and checked, at certain
time intervals, if the short circuit is still present. When the correct state of the line
is detected (when short circuit ceases), it is automatically restored to normal
operation.
When re-energised, the unit will start counting down for some 30 seconds,
displaying digits in order. This time is necessary to determine the operating
conditions of the system and to charge passive audio receivers. Do not interrupt
the countdown when the system is finally on (this may initially cause the system
to malfunction).
Then the following will be displayed, in sequence: manufacturer: "aco", software
version, for instance "K-10"; "I700 M" (where K stands for number of software
version compilation, I for INSPIRO+ or P for CDNP, 700-version software, M for
master or S for slave) and display message language (for instance PL vx, where
x is the message version). Units with the ACC proximity reader will display "ACC
OK" for a short moment. Units without ACC will display "No ACC”; the same
message will be displayed when the reader is damaged (or in malfunction of
communication between the main board of the unit and additional modules).
A while later the unit should display Intro during standby mode (by default "ACO",
it can be changed with the computer program).
PLEASE NOTE! When setting up a panel-uniphone call, unwanted acoustic
signals may appear; their level will not distort the content of the transmitted
message neither will it significantly impair the comfort of conversation.
XI. VOLUME LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
The volume level of the outside unit is pre-set, but it can be changed to suit
individual conditions and needs.
The volume level settings can be accessed, when connected to the receiver, as
follows:
- with "MIC" potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity of the unit microphone (or the
volume in the receiver)
- with "SOUNDS" potentiometer to adjust the sound volume (sound generated
by the unit, for instance at door opening)
- with "SPK" potentiometer to adjust the sound volume of the speaker (or the
sound level in the unit from the microphone of the receiver)
As these values are set, turn the "BALANCE" potentiometer to determine the
position of the excitation points (squeak, feedback) in the loudspeaker and set
the potentiometer halfway between these points.
