• The patient is in cardiac arrest or shock
• The sensor is too tight
• There is arterial occlusion proximal to the sensor
• There is excessive illumination from light sources such as a surgical lamp, a bilirubin lamp, or
direct sunlight
An alarm condition due to reached alarm limit is displayed with a Red alarm icon at the
corresponding alarm limit and as a flashing text with Yellow background in the Information bar.

The actual alarm limits and state (OFF) are also displayed in the graphical view next to the numeric
values with the high/low alarm limit symbol.
