The Agilent 5110 ICP-OES communicates to the controlling PC via an ethernet connection. Each
instrument has a unique Media Access Code (MAC) address that resides in the P500 board. If
the P500 board is replaced the MAC address will also change to a new address.
The instrument control electronics is built into in a shielded module that mounts on the right
hand side of the instrument. The module contains the instrument control board which also
connects to a satellite P500 processor board. Connected to the instrument control board is the
camera interface board (positioned behind the instrument control board) and the camera
control board is attached to side of the camera interface board. All boards’s are individually part
numbered as spares and can be ordered separately except the P500 board which is part of the
control board assembly and cannot be replaced independently.
