Procedure: Making a spacer from Teflon tubing
Materials required
1/4-inch or 1/8-inch Teflon tubing
1/4-inch or 1/8-inch nut and ferrule set
Bench vise
Male SWAGELOK fitting
9/16-inch or 7/16-inch wrench
Razor or sharp knife
1. Secure a new male SWAGELOK fitting in a bench vise.
2. Slide a SWAGELOK nut, back ferrule, and front ferrule onto a piece of Teflon
tubing. If the end of the tubing is not cut straight, use a razor or sharp knife
to make a flat, smooth end.
