Ethernet Port Pinouts
Table 38 specifies the Ethernet port pin assignments.
T1/E1 Ports
There are 16 RJ-45 connectors on the front of the 7705 SAR-M that provide 100-Ω T1 or
120-Ω E1 access to 16 T1/E1 ports. The T1/E1 ports can be used for either access or network
connectivity. Two variants of the 7705 SAR-M do not have any T1/E1 ports.
Use shielded RJ-45 cables to attach customer equipment to the 7705 SAR-M T1/E1 ports.
Shielded cable must be used to maintain EMC compliance.
Figure 43 shows the pin numbering for the top row (odd-numbered) T1/E1 ports. Figure 44
shows the pin numbering for the bottom row (even-numbered) T1/E1 ports.
