Packaging Collection and Recovery Requirements
Countries, states, localities, or other jurisdictions may require that systems be established for 
the return and/or collection of packaging waste from the consumer, or other end user, or from 
the waste stream. Additionally, reuse, recovery, and/or recycling targets for the return and/or 
collection of the packaging waste may be established.

within specific jurisdictions, please contact the appropriate environmental health and safety 
organization.
Recycling / Take-back / Disposal of Product
Electronic products bearing or referencing the symbol shown in Figure 4, when put on the 
market within the European Union, shall be collected and treated at the end of their useful life 
in compliance with applicable European Union and local legislation. They shall not be 
disposed of as part of unsorted municipal waste. Due to materials that may be contained in 
the product, such as heavy metals or batteries, the environment and human health may be 
negatively impacted as a result of inappropriate disposal.

Note: In the European Union, the WEEE symbol (a wheeled trash bin that has been crossed 
out and is positioned above a solid bar) indicates that the product was put on the market 
after 13 August 2005. This product is compliant with the WEEE marking requirements of 
DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
