Passively Cooled Chassis Variants
The two passively cooled variants of the 7705 SAR-M chassis are equipped with fins for heat
dissipation.
Maintain the following clearances around the unit:
• at least 2.5 in. (6.4 cm) at the front of the chassis for cable management
• at least 2 in. (5.1 cm) on each side of the chassis for proper air flow
• at least 1.75 in. (4.3 cm) clearance above and below the chassis for proper air flow
An overheat alarm is raised if the chassis temperature exceeds 203ºF (95ºC). If the internal
temperature drops below 203ºF (95ºC), the alarm is cleared.
