Installing the Chassis in a Rack
88 7705 SAR-M Chassis Installation Guide
To install the chassis in the rack:
Step 1. Lift the 7705 SAR-M and position it in the rack.
Step 2. Align the mounting holes on each bracket with the mounting holes on the rack
upright.
Insert a screw into each mounting hole and tighten each screw.
Step 3. Ground the chassis to the building ground. See Chassis Ground Wiring.
Installing ETSI Rack-Mount Brackets
The ETSI adapter bracket kit contains left- and right-side brackets. Replace each 19-inch
mounting bracket with its matching ETSI bracket.
Required tools:
• a screwdriver appropriate for the rack-mount screws
To install ETSI rack-mount brackets:
Step 1. Remove the left-side 19-inch rack-mount bracket and attach the left-side ETSI
bracket to the chassis using the screws removed from the 19-inch bracket.
Step 2. Repeat Step 1 for the right-side bracket.
