Programming the Extract Drain (Spin) Step Type
The Extract Drain (Spin) Step Type allows the owner to program
the extract drain (spin) steps of a cycle. After selecting the de-
sired Cycle Step number and pressing START (enter), XXSPin
will appear in the display. Press the NORMAL 40 () or the
DELICATES COLD () keypad to scroll through the options and
START (enter) to select a value.

High spins will extract soap and water out of the load but can al-
so produce suds that are harder to eliminate. For this reason all
spin steps consist of a step ramped spin to reduce suds genera-
tion.
The overall Extract Speed reached is dependent on the Step Time.
The Step Time accounts for Drain Time, Balance Measurement
Time and Spin Time. If enough time isn’t given to reach a pro-
grammed speed, the step will advance without reaching the set
speed. If a speed limit is set lower than 1200 RPMs, once the ma-
chine reaches the speed limit, it will finish out the remaining time
at that speed. The programmed time will also include the ramp
down time with an estimated ramp down rate of 24 RPMs/
second. For example, if spinning at a rate of 600 RPMs, the ma-
chine will start ramping down when 25 seconds remain in the
current step.
It is recommended not to reduce spin times within the default cy-
cles. Better machine performance is achieved with the default
spin times.
