3. Pull the pin from the tensioner arms and remove the arms and spring assembly from the
vehicle
4. Lay out the components on a clean work
surface.
5. Perform the servicing procedure, Chain
Tensioner Slider Block Inspection
6. Perform the servicing procedure, Re-
placing A Slider Block.
Assembling The Chain Tensioner System (Scissor Style)
1. Assemble the upper and lower chain tensioner arms together along with the centre
tensioner spring as in the photo above.
2. Install the assembly between the frame channels ensuring the lower chain is on top of
the lower slider block.
