Table 2-1. LED Status Indications
Key LED State Meaning
A PWR (power) Green Power to this unit is on.
Off Power to this unit is off.
B CPU Green, blinking
~1x/sec.
CPU is functioning normally.
Off Reset process, power off, or CPU not
working.
C SNMP Green SNMP daughterboard is installed and
OK.
Off SNMP daughterboard is not installed or
operating.
D MSG Amber You have a message concerning hub
hardware failure; use the terminal menu
to view. LED does not automatically turn
off if the reported status persists.
Off No messages are waiting.
E Utilization %
Bar graph display,
eight LEDs
Green @1% to 20%
Amber @ 30-50%
Red, blinking @
65+%
Bar graph display indicates hub utilization
at 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, or 65+ %,
reported per .25 or .5 second. (Max. rate
10Mbps)
Off Utilization is below this percentage.
F Collision %
Bar graph display,
four LEDs
Amber Bar display indicates range of 1, 3, 5 and
10%. This percentage of packets has
experienced collision. This number is
calculated as Collision/ (Collisions +
Good Frames)

Red, blinking Indicated transmission problem occurring

The cause of repeated errors should

removing nodes in a systematic manner
until no further errors are detected.
Off Indicated warning has not occurred.
