3.2. Location
The choice of location is particularly important, as subsequent movement is a complex
operation that must be performed by a qualied person.
Discuss with the customer before deciding on a location.
• Install the outside unit in a location that can support its weight and which does not
transmit vibrations.
• Install the outside unit horizontally.
• Be sure to provide the indicated amount of space to ensure correct air circulation.
The air outlet and inlet must never be blocked.
• During operation in heating mode, condensate will ow out of the outside unit. Take
all measures required to facilitate unimpeded drainage without causing any property
damage.
• Install the outside unit in a location where neighbours will not be disturbed by the air
ow, noise or vibrations. If the outside unit needs to be installed close to neighbours,
obtain their permission before installing.
• Check that connections to the tank can be made easily.
• Take into account servicing and maintenance when choosing a location. Leave su-
cient space to allow easy access to the outside unit.
• Do not install the unit in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
• Do not install the unit near to a source of heat, vapour or ammable gas.
• Do not install the unit facing into the wind, or a location exposed to strong winds or
dust.
• Do not install the unit in a thoroughfare.
• Do not install the outside unit in a location where it could be exposed to dirt or signif-
icant amounts of water (e.g. under a faulty gutter).
3.2.1. Moving the unit
Do not touch the ns, as they are sharp and can cause injury.
Carry the unit carefully using the left and right handles.
