Use the following procedure to connect the cooling water supply and ensure that
the dry pumping system is receiving the correct water flow rate. Before starting,
ensure that the electrical power supply to the dry pumping system is switched off.
1. Use BSPT pipe fittings (not supplied) to fit the cooling water supply and return
hoses.
2. Connect the water return hose to the cooling water outlet (refer to Front view
on page
11). Fit a water flow meter into the water supply line close to the
pump and then connect the water supply hose to the cooling water inlet (refer
to Side view on page 12). Take care not to turn the bulkhead fittings on the
pump when tightening up the connectors.
3. Turn on the cooling water supply.
4. Switch on the electrical power to the dry pumping system.
5. Adjust the water flow rate so that it meets the requirements.
6. Once the water flow rate has been set the water flow meter may be removed.
7. Inspect the water hoses, pipelines and connections and check that there are
no leaks.
