– First press brake pedal in direction of brake servo and hold.

2 - Push rod
3 - Retaining lugs
– Insert release tool - T10159- and pull towards driver's seat, at
the same time holding brake pedal in position (the pedal must
not move towards the rear). This will press the retaining lugs
-3- of the mounting off the ball head of the push rod -2-.
For illustration purposes, the method of separating the brake ped‐
al from the brake servo is shown with the pedal cluster removed.
– Pull release tool - T10159- and brake pedal together towards
driver seat. (This will pull the brake pedal off the ball head of
the push rod).
Attaching brake pedal to brake servo
– Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake
pedal towards brake servo so that ball head audibly locks into
place.
The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse se‐
quence.
– Install brake light switch ⇒ page 50 .
– Install brake light sensor ⇒ page 51 .
Caution
Make sure that the brakes work properly before the vehicle is
driven on the road.
