17 - Brake pad retaining spring
❑ Ensure correct installation position
New-generation brake pads
Make sure the brake pads are installed in the correct position. The
brake pad with wear indicator is located on the inside. The cham‐
fered side of the brake pad -arrow- faces downwards when in‐
stalled.
5.2 Detaching and attaching front brake cal‐
iper (ceramic brakes)
Always use new bolts ⇒ ETKA .

♦ Torque wrench - V.A.G 1332-
♦ Ratchet - V.A.G. 1332/1-
♦ Piston resetting appliance - T10145-
– Raise vehicle.
– Remove wheels.
