4 Anti-lock brake system (ABS)

The vehicle is equipped with a diagonally split ABS brake system.
The servo-assistance is pneumatic, supplied by the vacuum
brake servo unit.
The hydraulic unit and control unit are combined in a single com‐
ponent. This is therefore referred to as the hydraulic control unit.
The direct connection between these components reduces pos‐
sible sources of faults. There is no provision for repairing the
hydraulic control unit - it must be renewed if necessary.
Do not unscrew the bolts which connect the individual compo‐
nents of the hydraulic control unit.
