12.10 Removing and installing vacuum pump

Removing
The vacuum pump is located in the rear of the engine compart‐
ment -arrow-, as seen in the direction of travel.
– Detach engine cover panel.
The plenum chamber partition panel does not have to be re‐
moved.
– Remove pressure sensor -1- for diesel particulate filter from
bracket.
– Unclip pressure sensor pipe -2- and carefully press to the side.
– Remove bracket for pressure sensor at vacuum pump.
– Unscrew coolant pipe at bracket and at left engine transpor‐
tation shackle and press to the side.
