1.1 Servicing front brakes (PR 1LT)

Install all parts supplied in repair kit.
♦
After renewing brake pads, depress brake pedal firmly several
times with vehicle stationary so that the pads are properly
seated in their normal operating position.
♦
To draw off brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir use a bleeder
bottle which is used only for brake fluid. Brake fluid is poison‐
ous and must NOT be drawn off by sucking through a hose.

3 - Brake hose
❑ Do not disconnect brake
hose when changing
brake pads
4 - Bracket
❑ Bolt to brake caliper
housing
5 - Bolt
❑ 10 Nm
6 - Spring clip
7 - Brake line
❑ Tightening torque for
brake line at bracket 17
Nm
❑ Tightening torque for
brake line at brake cali‐
per: 12 Nm
❑ Screw into brake caliper
housing
❑ Screw into brake hose,
counter hold on brake
hose hexagon.
❑ Ensure that lugs are
properly seated in
grooves in bracket.
8 - Pad wear indicator wire
❑ When renewing pads,
remove from bracket
