12.11 Removing and installing vacuum pump
- vehicles with 2.7 ltr. TDI and 3.0 ltr. TDI
diesel engine
Removing
The vacuum pump is fitted at the rear of the right cylinder bank
-arrow-.
Carefully pull engine cover panel off retaining pins one after
another.
Note
Due to restricted space in the engine compartment, it is recom‐
mended to remove the vacuum pump before disconnecting the
vacuum line, and to re-connect the vacuum line before installing
the pump.
Removing plenum chamber cover ⇒ Rep. gr. 50
Caution
Take care not to damage the vacuum hose. The vacuum hose
must be renewed if it is damaged.
Disconnect vacuum line and vacuum hose at back of plenum
chamber partition panel -2-.
Pull vacuum line -1- out of plenum chamber partition panel
-2-.
