The warning lamp lights up while the vehicle is in motion.
The vehicle can be decelerated with the standard brake system, i.e. without ABS.
The ESP warning lamp lights up as well if there is a malfunction in the ABS.
The following conditions indicate a malfunction of the complete brake system.
If the ABS warning lamp lights up together with the brake system warning lamp, the brake system itself
(not merely the ABS) may be defective.
In case of a malfunction of the brake system the symbol will appear in the instrument cluster display.
3 - Brake system warning lamp - K118-
Fitting location: in driver information system/ dash panel insert
There is a malfunction in the brake system if the warning lamp flashes
The brake system warning lamp flashes if the level of the brake fluid is too low, in case of a malfunction of the
ABS or a malfunction of the electromechanical parking brake.
