the selected input channel is shown in the top left of the display. The
level of the alternate channel is shown in the top center of the display.
The upper right section of the display can show the frequency of the
selected channel or the phase difference between the two channels.
The top right soft key makes this selection.
The INPUT A and INPUT B keys are used to select the main and
alternate channels for measurement. Subsequent presses of the
INPUT A key, for example, will rotate through the following
combinations:
.
A input for main measurement; B input for alternate
measurement
.
(analog only) A gen-mon for main measurement; A input for
alternate measurement
.
A gen-mon for main measurement; B gen-mon for alternate
measurement
Pressing the INPUT B key will rotate through a similar set of
combinations, except that B will always be the main measurement.
The top center and top left soft keys can be used to select the units for
the level measurement. Either soft key changes the units for both
measurements.
In analog mode, the bottom center soft key allows selection of
high-impedance (around 100 kΩ) or low-impedance (600 Ω) input
termination for analog channel A. The bottom right soft key allows
the same selection for analog channel B.
The Level function provides the best analog amplitude accuracy of
which the Portable One Dual Domain is capable, as long as the
measured signal is above about 10 mV. The analog Amplitude
function provides wider dynamic range, but at reduced accuracy. In
the digital domain there is no accuracy difference between the two
modes.
When in Level function, the bargraph panel provides a dual bargraph
showing the level of both channels. Similarly, the sweep panel will
measure both channels simultaneously, showing the selected channel
as a solid line and the alternate channel as a dotted line. Cursor
measurements will display the results for both channels.
