The OUTPUT On/Off buttons change function depending on the
generator mode. In Analog Generator Mode, the A and B On/Off
buttons turn the A and B channels of analog generation on and off.
The yellow lights for each channel indicate whether that analog
channel is providing output. If the light is on, then the channel is
enabled. In any of the digital modes, the A and B On/Off buttons turn
the A and B channels of embedded digital audio generation on and
off. The yellow lights for each channel indicate whether that digital
channel is providing output. If the light is on, then the channel is
enabled.
Analog Generator Mode (A:GEN)
The Analog Generator Mode allows control of the analog generator.
The Amplitude controls will control the amplitude of both channels of
the analog output signal. The Frequency controls will control the
frequency of both channels of the analog output signal.
The generator section of the panel will display the current amplitude,
frequency, and waveform shape.
The waveform shape is controlled by the upper left soft key on the
Generator Only panel. Waveform shapes of sine, square, and IMD (if
IMD option is installed) are available with subsequent presses of the
soft key.
The Generator Only panel also allows control of the output
configuration. Subsequent presses of the bottom center soft key permit
selection between 40 Ω Unbalanced, 40 Ω Balanced, 150 Ω Balanced,
and 600 Ω Balanced configurations.
The upper center soft key allows control of the units for analog
generator amplitude.

NOTE: Both the analog and digital generators are
operational in all of the Generator Control Modes and in all
panels. You need not be viewing a generator control panel
for the generators to be functioning.
