(3) Stopping Operation
(i) Stopping operation of the device
To stop operation of the device, carry out the following procedure.
Procedure
(1) Turn off the power to the device.
(2) Operate the valves of the three-way manifold valve in the following order.
(1) Close the low pressure side stop valve.
(2) Open the equalizer valve.
(3) Close the high pressure side stop valve.
(3) Close the high and low pressure side master valves (see Figures 2-30 and 2-31).
(ii) Cautions for stopping device operation
• If operation will be stopped for a long period of time, remove the process fluid from inside
the connecting pipes and the pressure-receiving part of the device. The process fluid might,
for example, adhere to the surface of the diaphragm and impede measurement when
operation resumes.
• Leave the equalizer valve open. If it is left closed, output of other than zero can occur when the
power is turned on to restart operation.
