WORK CONDITIONS
Floor surface
The load bearing capacity of floors must be suitable for the weight of the machine not
to make impressions on the surface of the floor. The floor surface around the
machine must be even at an adequate radius from it for the operators of the machine
and maintenance personnel to work unobstructed. The slope of the floor surface may
be at most 1°; in case of bigger deviations, appropriate measures must be taken. The
floor surface must be even to ensure the best possible feed-in of fish into the work
area and the right positioning of fish when de-heading.
Space requirements
The operators and maintenance personnel must have ready access to the whole
system installed. The dimensions are specified in the technical information.
Working space for the operator of the machine
Working space for the operator of the machine is next to the tray.
Lighting
Adequate lighting in working with the machine is important depending on how well
one needs to see. Here we should bear in mind the following aspects (see also
Norm EN 12464-1):
- candle power 500 (500 lx)
- light direction and shadow
- colour light
- limited visibility
- preventing from distractive reflections.
