DE-HEADING
In the processing area the head
and pectoral fin bone are cut off
with two de-heading knives (fig. 18,
in yellow). The knives must always
be well sharpened and controllers
are properly installed.
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
Head press
It is possible to get a head press enabling piercing through both eyes with the eye
spike by pressing on the head before it comes to the processing area.
Length measurement
In case of significant differences in fish sizes, it may be necessary to use a length
measurement opening pectoral fin bones for the head in case the fish exceeds a
specified size.
Footboard
A footboard enables elevating the platform making it easier for the operators to
operate the machine. The footboard is made of a rack and platform to be placed on
various cogs of the rack.
Platform
A platform can be included with the machine enabling access to the knives system.
The platform is bolted to the machine.
DANGER!
Risk of the machine falling down/worker falling over!
If the machine is elevated, the centre of gravity changes
accordingly. Take measures to prevent the machine from
falling down, especially if the platform is fastened to the
machine.
