8.4.2 Mode Parameterization Communication
8.4.2.1 Communication: Data telegram
In mode Communication: Data Telegram, parameterization of both Data Input and Data Out-
put is via the process interface, see Interfaces and protocols [}19].
The sensor can output data via the process interface (Data Output) or may be re-parameter-
ized during running operation (Data Input). One Data Telegram each for Data Input / Data
Output can be configured. Data telegrams are organized in data blocks and separated by Sep-
arator. Furthermore, depending on the selected process interface,Data Telegram has a de-
fined start (Header) and end identifier (Line ending).
INFO
For data telegram configuration, first some of the features to be controlled/retrieved (e.g. ex-
pected code value or read code) must be created via the web interface. Image acquisition pa-
rameters (e.g. the exposure time) are immediately available for data telegram configuration.
The desired function (Data Input / Data Output) is selected in the upper area. General settings
for data telegram configurations are performed in the left area.
The center area defines data block contents.
The lower preview area shows how data telegrams are input or output via the process interface.
The preview may differ according to the selected protocol.
