8.4.1 Mode Parameterization Tools
Mode Tools Parametrization is for assigning the sensor the desired measuring tools and for
parameterization of their individual attributes.
Measuring tools are predefined sensor functions for reading measured values (e.g. codes)
based on the acquired image.
Furthermore, you can execute Auto Setup for automated parameterization in image acquisition
and for automated tracking of measuring features in the image.
Tool vs. Auxiliary tool
Measurement tools use the image as input. Auxiliary tools use the output of a measurement tool
as input. For an auxiliary tool, the input must be defined before a measured value can be dis-
played. For an auxiliary tool, the input must be defined before a measured value can be dis-
played. If the input has not been defined or in the event of invalid measured values applied to
the input will provide NaN (Not a Number).
ROI (Region of Interest) - evaluation area
ROI (Region of Interest) or evaluation area means the image section considered for evaluation.
The ROI can be freely selected (via web interface using the sliders or the tools input fields).
Characteristics truncated by the evaluation area are being fully read.
