8.4.1.1 Measuring tool: Image
Reliable measurements require the measuring features in the image being clearly readable to
the sensor. For reliable results perform the required parameterization.
Exposure
n
Exposure Time: Manual setting of exposure time in µs.
n
Auto: Automatic setting of exposure time
Gain
n
Enable / disable further image brightening by amplification.
n
Expert Mode is used to select the amplification level (2 / 4 / 8).
Internal Illumination
n
Enable / disable the internal sensor illumination.
n
Expert Mode provides a selection of individual segments.
Focus
n
Manual focus adjustment in mm (sensor distance towards the sur-
face to be inspected).
n
Auto: Automated focus adjustment.
Trigger mode
n
Free running: Immediately after an image evaluation has ended
the next image will be acquired.
n
Interval: Triggering of image captures at the set interval.
n
Trigger: Trigger image capture manually, it waits for an external
event (Digital Inputs, button Trigger) to capture the image. The
previous measuring operation is always completed first, even if a
event is present.
n
Burst: The start occurs with an external event (Digital Inputs,
button Trigger). Image acquisition until set value (Timeout / Im-
age count) is reached or after a successful read result.
n
Reading signal required: Image acquisition is only triggered if
Digital Inputs is enabled. Only available in modes Free running
and Interval.
n
Trigger delay: Setting a one-time power-on delay prior to image
acquisition. Only available in trigger modes Trigger and Burst.
n
Stop after: Stop image acquisition after a defined event. Only
available with Burst .
Processing time
n
Total job duration: Limiting the job processing time.
The process interface allows for setting the following values:
