Film insertion plan
The course of the film is shown in the following illustration.
How to insert the film
The "Starting position" function enables an easy insertion of the film. For this,
proceed as follows:
How to insert the film
1. Activate the "stretch hood manual/automatic" key for selecting the manual
operation.
2. The manual operation must be displayed in the head line.
3. Press the "Starting position" key.
4. Wait until the text "Cut film" is flashing in the head line.
5. Open the film brake with the pushbutton on the hood applicator head.
6. Insert the film tube manually according to the film insertion plan. The side fold
guiding plates must be in the gussets of the film tube.
7. Guide the film tube up to the bottom edge of the sealing bars.
8. Close the film brake with the pushbutton on the hood applicator head.
9. Press the "Cut film" key on the control terminal.
10. If necessary, remove the film when the stretch hood has reached its starting
position.
The new film must correspond to the same specification as the film to be re-
placed. A change of the film width, the depth of the lateral folds or the character-
istics of the film results in faults on the machine. If the new film dimensions are
different from the old ones, the machine must be re-adjusted.
