3.2 DSS monitor
The DSS monitor offers direct Online access to all parameters stored in the
drive.
You may:
edit parameters
save a list of several parameters as initialization file (*.scs) of the drive.
For each drive, several *.scs files can be created, e.g. for certain drive
functions or commissioning steps
transmit *.scs files to the drive (cf. page 4–22)
Start the ”Monitor”
menu sequence DISPLAY MONITOR, or
by clicking on the
command button in the icon bar or in the DSS
basic image
If activated: Click-
ing on ”Get” com-
mand button will
read all parame-
ters of the list from
the drive
Area for displaying the
parameter list.
Double-click on one of
the parameters to dis-
play its information in
the upper fields.
Current changeable
parameter number
Current changeable pa-
rameter value. When the
”Data” text appears
dimmed, the data cannot
be changed.
Input limits of the current
parameter
Read current pa-
rameter from the
drive
Transfer current
parameter to the
drive. Parameter
change becomes
immediately ac-
tive.
Save all parame
ters in the list as
*.scs file.
Read all parameters of
a *.scs file and display
them in a list
”Parameter name” field (cannot be changed)
Loading a saved *.scs file into the monitor:
By clicking on the ”Import” command button, all parameters of a *.scs file are
displayed in list format in the monitor.
During this process, the parameter values are automatically replaced by the
current values of the connected drive.
All parameters which may be displayed in the list area of the DSS moni-
tor are deleted by this process.
