Ethernet
System Component Description
SFP GbE ports Sixteen 1, 10, or 25GbE and two 100GbE optical/copper ports
compatible with short reach (SR) or long reach (LR) transceivers
(available reach options vary for 1GbE, 10GbE, 25GbE, and
100GbE). Connectivity to core routers or WAN routers with 40GbE
ports is supported through 4x 10GbE breakout using the SFP
Ethernet ports.
Ethernet management port One 1000Mb/s Ethernet port.
USB port One external USB port.
LEDs
System Component Description
System power LED One green system power status LED (upper) on the port side.
System status LED One bicolor (green/amber) system status LED (lower) on the port
side.
Ethernet port speed LED One status LED on the right of the RJ-45 connector. Glows green
for 1000Mb/s and off for 100/10Mb/s.
Ethernet port activity LED One link activity LED on the left of the RJ-45 connector.
FC port status LEDs 34 port status LEDs on the port side of the switch:
•
8 bicolor (green/amber) LEDs, one for each SFP-DD port.
•
8 bicolor (green/amber) LEDs, one for each SFP+ port.
•
16 bicolor (green/amber) LEDs, one for each Ethernet SFP+
port.
•
2 bicolor (green/amber) LEDs, one for each Ethernet QSFP
port.
Power supply assembly status LED One bicolor (green/amber) power supply assembly status LED on
each power supply on the nonport side of the switch.
Fan assembly status LEDs One bicolor (green/amber) fan assembly status LED on each fan
on the nonport side of the switch.
Cables, Connectors, and Adapters
System Component Description
Serial cable One IEEE-compliant RJ-45 serial cable.
RJ-45 connector One IEEE-compliant connector on the port side of the Extension
Switch for use with a serial console and 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet.
