Failure Investigation for Electronic Parts
Pulse motors do not return to starting point
Replace pulse motor
Replace NP PCB-S assy.
Is the resistance across pins 1-2
and pins 3-4 for the pulse motor
connectors 4-6 W?
Motors do not return to starting
point when power is turned ON.
• Needle up ... Z pulse motor return
to starting point
• Needle down ... F pulse motor
returns to starting point
Regardless of the needle position
does this same pulse motor return
When the power PCB assy. connector
(connected to CN13 (S2) or CN14 (S3)
on main PCB assy.) is disconnected, is
the voltage across pins 4-3 26V DC?

Replace power PCB assy.

Y
N
Y
S2 : CS8000 Series
S3 : CS8100 Series
Replace main PCB assy.
