1.3.18 Print frame pattern (2-sided printing) (Function code 70)
< Function >
This function is used to print the frame pattern on both sides of the paper to check for printing 
flaws and omission.
< Operating Procedure >
(1) Set the paper specified in the default paper settings (A4 or Letter) to the T1.
(2) For models with touch panel
 
Press the [7], and then the [0] in the initial state of maintenance mode. “PRINTING” is 
displayed on the LCD, and the frame pattern (refer to the figure below) is printed on both 
sides of the paper.
For models without touch panel
Press the [▲] or [▼] in the initial state of maintenance mode to display “MAINTENANCE 70” 
on the LCD, and press the [OK]. “PRINTING” is displayed on the LCD, and the frame pattern 
(refer to the figure below) is printed on both sides of the paper.
(3) When printing is completed, “WAKU DX” is displayed on the LCD.
(4) Press the [X] or [Cancel], and the machine returns to the initial state of maintenance mode.

Note: 
If printing fails, printing is stopped with displaying any of the errors shown in the table below. 
To retry printing, refer to the “Remedy” in the table below and eliminate the error cause and 
press the [Mono Start] or [Go]. “PRINTING” is displayed on the LCD, and the frame pattern 
is printed on both sides of a sheet of paper.
Error display Remedy
Replace Toner Replace the toner cartridge and press the [Mono Start] or [Go] to 
release the error.
Cover is Open Close the top cover.
No Paper
Refill the paper, close the T1 and press the [Mono Start] or [Go] to 
release the error.
Jam Tray1 Remove the jammed paper, then close the T1 and all covers, 
press the [Mono Start] or [Go] to release the error.
Jam Rear
Jam Duplex
Duplex Disabled Refill the paper, then close the T1 and all covers, press the 
[Mono Start] or [Go] to release the error.
