Note:
The direct link between the A and B switches is to provide PTP sync.
This will require specific setup of the switch ports so that Switch A, Port 7 is seen as a master boundary clock.
EXAMPLE 1: SINGLE CORE WITH LOCAL I/O ONLY
EXAMPLE 2: SINGLE CORE WITH LOCAL I/O + 2 AOIP I/O BOXES ON A NON-PTP SWITCH
EXAMPLE 3: SINGLE CORE WITH LOCAL I/O + 2 AOIP I/O BOXES ON 2 REDUNDANT PTP SWITCHES
Note:
In this case a single switch is being used for both A and B connections to AoIP end points.
This will require the A and B networks to be configured on separate VLAN’s within the same switch.
Note:
This is the simplest case where a single standalone console is in use with only local I/O is in use.
