Both the core and external I/O racks have two IEC AC power inlets feeding two sets of internal power distribution.
Although both the core and external I/O rack will operate with one inlet supply we recommend both inlets are powered.
This will ensure continued operation should a PSU or AC source fail. The operating AC supply voltage is 100 V - 240 V
+/-10% .
The average half-cycle r.m.s inrush current per inlet:
• On initial switch-on <5 A
• After 5 s interruption <10 A

Cooling
The control surface is cooled by natural ventilation.
The air intake is on the side and bottom vents of the console panels.
The panels may be butted up side to side to form bigger surfaces as long as clearance is
provided below the units to provide the panels with sufficient ventilation.

Cooling
This 2U Rack is cooled by an 80mm low power, low speed and low noise fan mounted to
the right hand side panel of each unit venting air. Fan speed is monitored and system status
warnings are generated if fans fail. Air is drawn in through the left hand side panel.
The side panels of the unit should be unobstructed with at least 50mm (2’) clearance to allow
airflow. No clearance is required above or below the unit.
