Using the Self-Timer

>, the shooting interval may become longer under some shooting
conditions, depending on image quality, use of fl ash, and other factors.

If you will not look through the viewfi nder when pressing the shutter button,
attach the eyepiece cover (

157). Light that enters the viewfi nder may
prevent suitable exposure.

> enables you to shoot without touching the camera mounted on a
tripod. This prevents camera shake if you shoot still-life or long exposures.

After taking self-timer shots, playing back the image (

and exposure is recommended.

When using the self-timer to shoot yourself, use focus lock (
