Special Copying and Mail Box Features
Image Combination
This mode enables you to automatically reduce two, four, or eight originals, as well as two-sided
originals or the facing pages of a book, to fit onto one side or both sides of a selected paper
(record) size.
IMPORTANT
•
The Image Combination mode cannot be used with the following mode(s).
- Copy: Entire Image, Automatic Paper Selection, Two-sided, Two-page Separation, Cover/Sheet
Insertion, Shift (No. Key Entry), Transparency Interleaving, Different Size Originals, Original Frame
Erase, Book Frame Erase, Image Repeat, Mirror Image
- Mail Box: Doc. Size Select (Auto), 2-Sided Original, Two-page Separation, Different Size Originals,
Original Frame Erase, Book Frame Erase

Originals copied/scanned in the Image Combination mode must all be the same size. You cannot use
the Image Combination mode with the Different Size Originals mode.

For the Copying function, you can change the number of copies or settings for the 2-Sided Original
mode before scanning the next original (between jobs), if the original is one of the following types.

For the Mail Box function, you can change the number of copies or settings for the 2-Sided Original
mode before scanning the next original (between jobs), for the following types of originals.
NOTE
The reduction ratio is automatically set so that the originals fit onto the selected paper (record) size.

This setting reduces two 1-sided originals or one 2-sided original to fit onto one side or both sides of one
sheet of paper.
