Takenoteofthelocationsofpipes/cablesbeforestart-
ingwork.Electricalcables,gasandwaterpipesand
otherundergroundinstallationscancauseseriousin-
jury.
•
Modifyyourdrivingtosuitworkingconditions(sloping
orroughground),thenatureofthegroundandweather
conditions.
•
Onsteeplyslopingground,keepengineatmaximum
speed.
•
Whentravellingatrightanglestotheslope,moveon
totheslopeatlowspeed.Neverreduceenginespeed
whentravellingdownslopes.
•
Holes,obstacles,debrisandotherdangerrisksinthe
workingareacancauseseriousinjury.Inspectand
noteallpossiblerisksbeforedrivingthemachineina
newworkingarea.
•
Donotworknearoverheadhigh-voltageelectriclines
withoutcheckingbeforehandthatallnecessarymea-
sureshavebeentakentorespecttheminimumdis-
tances:
Lessthan57000volts:4m(13.1ft).
Morethan57000volts:5m(16.4ft).
•
Neverhitorpushmaterialwiththesidesofthebucket.
•
Neversweepthegroundwiththebuckettolevelrubble.
•
Whenoperatingthecontrollevers,awhistlingsound
willbeheardifthecontrolleverisheldinpositionwhile
thecorrespondingcylinderisattheendofitsstroke.In
thiscasereleasethecontrollever.
Thefollowingoperationsarelikelytodamagethe
machine.Youarethereforeadvisedtoavoidthem:
•
Excavationusingtheweightofthemachineasaforce
ofimpact.
•
Excavationusingthemachine’stravelforce.
•
Ifearthormudstaysstuckinsidethebucket,openand
closethebucketseveraltimessoastoloosentheearth
orthemud.
•
Afterwork,removeanymudandcleanthemachine.
•
Whenusingtheupperstructureswing,neverchange
thedirectionofswingtoosuddenly.
•
Whenclimbingupaslope,placethebucketabout
40cm(15.7in)abovetheground.Whentravelling
downaslopeitisrecommendedtoplacethebucket
onthegroundtopreventthemachinefromsliding.
•
Avoidturningthemachineonsteepslopes.
•
Neverswingtheupperstructureonslopesof15°inthe
directionoftravelor10°atrightanglestothedirection
oftravel.
