Whenpositionrecallisenabled,thesystemautomatically
savesthecurrentGPSlocationofthevehicle–specif-
ically,thereceiver–beforetheignitionswitchisturned
OFF.WhentheignitionswitchisturnedONagain,the
savedGPSlocationisusedtorestarttheconverging
process.UsingthelastknownGPScoordinatesreduces
thesignalconvergencetime.
Totakeadvantageofthisfeature:
•
YoumustturnthesystemOFFwhilethesignalisal-
readyconverged—thatis,receivingproperGPSinput
torecord.Ifthevehicleisleftintheeldoranopen
outdoorareaattheendoftheworksession,thecurrent
coordinatesaresaved.Ifthevehicleismovedinsidea
building,thesignalisblockedandnocoordinatesare
saved.Ifthevehicleisalwayspowereddowninsidea
building,positionrecallshouldnotbeenabledsinceit
willnotreduceconvergencetime.

Youmustnotmovethevehicle—notevenashortdis-
tance—betweenthetimeyouturntheignitionswitch
OFFandthetimethatinitializationiscomplete.
NOTE:Initializationisnotthesameasconvergence.

untilyouchecksystemstatuswhenthevehicleisturned
ON.
Afterthedisplaystartsup,aninformationmessagedis-
plays:“Inprogress,pleasewait.Donotmove[the]vehicle
untilcompleteorconvergencetimewillbeincreased.Has
thevehiclebeenmovedsince[thesystemwas]turned
off?
Youmustanswerthisquestioncorrectly.Failuretodoso
maypreventthesystemfromconvergingatall.

Ifthevehiclewasmoved,pressthe“Yes”buttontoclear
themessage.Convergencewilloccurwithoutposition
recall.Amessagedisplays:“RTXconvergencehas
beenrestarted.Afullconvergencetimecanbeex-
pected.Youmaymovethevehicleinthemeantime.”
