HP/XP/G2toreducetheconvergencetimeassociated
withthistechnology.Thesettinginthiswindowaffectsthe
signalaccuracyrequiredforinitialconvergence:thesys-
temcontinuestoconvergetothefullsignalaccuracyof
OmniSTAR®HP/XP/G2technology,butthesystembe-
comesavailableforuseearlier.
ConvergedistanceisthedistancethatOmniSTAR®
HP/XP/G2usestoestablishthelocationofapointwhile
converging.Thesystemdefaultis0.102m(4.0in).
Increasingthedistanceallowsthesystemtobereadyfor
useearlier,butwithlessaccuracy.
Iftheplannedworkdoesnotrequirethehighestlevelof
accuracy,increasetheconvergedistancesothatthesys-
temwillbeavailableforuseearlier.Iftheplannedwork
doesrequiregreataccuracy,setthe“ConvergeDistance”
windowtothedefaultvalueof0.102m(4in).Inboth
cases,thesystemwillultimatelyconvergetothefullac-
curacyofOmniSTAR®HP/XP/G2technology.
