4. To remove a method, follow one of the procedures as outlined below.
• Select the rack position.
• To delete all methods in the rack, select the Delete icon at the bottom of the rack.
5. Press the play icon in the top right corner of the screen. All vessels must be added to the racks and the sam-
ple queue before Play is pressed in the next step.
6. Press the Play icon to begin the rst digestion.
• Once play is pressed, the fume cabinet door cannot be opened and methods cannot be added or deleted
from the queue.
• Pause can be pressed to pause the queue after the current run is complete. Once the current run is
completed and the vessel has been returned to the rack, the fume cabinet door can be opened.
• Stop aborts the current run. Remaining vessels in the queue will not be run until the Play icon is selected
again.
7. Once the vessel has been loaded, press the Floating Camera icon and verify that the sample is stirring.
8. Once the digestion is complete, the cooling fan will turn on and stirring will continue. Once the cooling tem-
perature or max cooling time is met the vessel will be returned to the rack and the next sample in the queue
will be loaded. The fume cabinet door remains locked until the instrument is idle.
Vessel Removal
WARNING
To prevent the possibility of severe burns, ensure that gloves and PPE as outlined in your
safety program are worn.
1. Once all methods in the queue have been run and the instrument is idle the fume cabinet door will be un-
locked and the user can open the door.
2. Remove the racks from the instrument.
3. Remove the vessel from the rack and remove the cap and septa from the vessel by pressing up on one side of
the cap.
4. Discard the cap and septa.
WARNING
Caps and septa are designed for only one use. DO NOT use caps and septa more than one
time.
5. Proceed with work-up.
NOTE
The magnetic stand is used to prevent the removal of the coated stir bar when pouring the
digested sample from the vessel.
The vessel weighing stand is used for weighing sample.
6. Clean the vessels as outlined in the Vessel Cleaning section of this manual.
